JOESIXPACK was formed in 1999 as a coverband of classic rock songs. It started with Bart and Misja, and because of Arjan, one of are guitarists, we met Salome who played the bass. None of us could really sing, even though we all tried, so we went looking for a singer (with a lot of money). Arjan left the band.
Ad responded on our advertisement and he joined us. We also started to play songs of Ad like Your Love and October
The first gig we had was in de Vleet in Vlaardingen on a Pimps and Tards party, whores surrounded us. We played together with Blackbirds.
The second gig was in de Blauwe schuur, also together with Blackbird.
Recently Ad found himself another band, at first he wanted to play in both Joe Sixpack and the other band, but he was a little bit to busy with himself and the other band, so he is no longer among us.
We are searching for a new singer, and weve found some options already. So soon youll hear all about him/her.
Salome (the bass player)
I was born on the 16th of October (Libra) in 1985, that makes me 16 years old and therefor the youngest of the group.
My father is a musician as well (also a bass player), so I grew up in an environment full of music. When I was 5 years old I started playing the violin. Ive played it for 5 years and I stopped when I went to secondary school. I started to play the bass when I was 14. It was an easy step to make because I had all the equipment of my father. After playing for 5 weeks, Arjan told me that he played in a band and that they were searching for a bass player. I could play really simple things so they asked me to come and play in their band. Since a year and a half I started to take singing lessons. I like singing a lot, but in the band I prefer playing the bass. I try to do both but that just a little bit hard!!!
Besides the thing we play in the band, I also like to play things from Jamiroquai, Alanis Morissette, Thin Lizzy, and i love to play songs of Graham central Station, but they are so hard!!! m practising at slapping but its definitely not easy!
I also like to act. Im in an acting group from Vlaardingen and I like that very much. Im still at school and in the 4th grade of gymnasium (is this also an English expression???? I dont know!). I dont know much more to tell.
The music I like, Alanis Morissette, Jimi Hendrix, Lenny Kravitz, Portishead, Sting, Graham central Station, Jaco Pastorius, Air, Incubus and really a lot more !!! O and I love old disco music like the weather girls, but thats just for the fun of dancing on it.
Ow and Im single so if you want a date and also presents, flowers and marriage proposals are more then welcome!!
Bart (the guitar guy)
I'm 21 years old, born may 81 and i am the oldest fart in the band. I dont have as much to say as salome but here it goes. Im a social something student, ive tryed to find the name of my study in the internet but i couldnt find it but its a sort of social educational study. For my hobbys... i play in JoeSixpack (duh) and im a staff member of summercamps for teenagers, i like to go out and hmm. well thats it, my life is boring. My musical preferences is 60-70s rock music like hendrix, led zeppelin bb king, clapton and stuff like that.
Thats it, altough i have a girlfriend, marriage proposals are always welcome..

Where to find us
We practice at Villa Musica in Vlaardingen, Holland. In a couple of months we will have our own practice room in a new building in vlaardingen
